Bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) is a cell-based treatment made from your own bone marrow, taken from the back of your pelvis. During the same appointment, the sample is concentrated and carefully injected into the treatment area. The cells are not cultured or expanded. BMAC contains signaling cells and specific growth factors that support healing. It may be used for moderate to severe osteoarthritis, cartilage damage, tendon tears, ligament injuries, and bone injuries.
Microfragmented adipose tissue (MFAT) is a cell-based treatment made from your own fat, taken from the flank or low back. During that appointment, the fat is processed and injected into the treatment area. The cells are not cultured or expanded. MFAT keeps its supportive structure and contains signaling cells and components that support healing. It may be used for specific conditions, such as tendon tears, meniscal tears, or even osteoarthritis.
