Dr. Nicholas Molby

Dr. Nicholas Molby is an Air Force veteran, former flight surgeon, and board-certified family medicine physician specializing in non-surgical sports medicine. He brings over a decade of clinical experience to North Tacoma Musculoskeletal & Regenerative Medicine, helping patients recover from injuries and return to the activities they love.

Dr. Molby earned his medical degree from Kansas City University and completed his sports medicine fellowship at the University of Nevada, Reno. He also serves as Director of Sports and Exercise Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center, where he cares for active-duty service members and their families.

His clinical interests include diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided injections, and regenerative treatments for joint, tendon, ligament, and muscle injuries.

A former collegiate athlete, Dr. Molby serves as a team physician for USA Swimming and previously served as medical director for Ironman 70.3 Washington. He continues to provide medical coverage for athletic events locally and internationally.

Outside the clinic, he enjoys hiking, running, biking, swimming, and exploring the Pacific Northwest. Family is a priority, and he enjoys spending time with his wife, their two dogs, and two cats.

Dr. Molby joins Dr. Scott Grogan in providing personalized, evidence-based, ultrasound-guided care focused on restoring function and keeping patients active.
